RootsRockRebel…………………First of all, I love your username. Second, I am extremely jealous that you had an opportunity to tour the estate in Jamaica. That’s definitely on my bucket list. You wouldn’t happen to have an extra bottle of he Exclusive for me would you??

Jimmy Mac says:

Hey Rob,
I’ll have to try this brand of rum-never had it before. I’ll start out with a mixer for my wife. Looking forward to the master blend and 30 year review. I don’t have an advanced palate like yourself but will start working on it. Thanks again for taking the time to do this extensive review.

Infinite Sky says:

I’m a descendant of the Appleton family, my great great great grandmother Caroline Allen’s maiden name was Appleton!

Miller Time says:

nice in depth comparison of the various products in Appleton’s line of aged rums.  I’d love to see someone with your level of rum savvy compare different white rums- is hard to find serious reviewers who take white rum seriously.  Maybe compare how they taste straight vs in a daquari?  Just a thought.  If I had one piece of constructive criticism, it would be to set up the video in front of a less busy background- solid wall, just the bar, etc.  Overall, great video.  Subscribed.

shut up and drink. shits only good for getting tossed anyway.

RootsRockRebel says:

Rob, just FYI, I recently returned from a trip to the Appleton Estate in Jamaica and they actually produce a bottle called “Exclusive” that you can only purchase there at the Appleton plant. It’s $250 a bottle. It is quite excellent. Far superior to the 21 year IMHO. If you ever visit Jamaica, I highly recommend visiting the plant and purchasing a couple of bottles.

Janeen says:

The 50 year rum is to commemorate Jamaica’s 50th year of Independence. So they started aging it from 1962 when we got independence and made limited editions in 2012 for Jamaica 50. From that batch they have some in reserve for Jamaica 75 to release 2037 and Jamaica 100th independence in 2062 🙂

Alexander K says:

Agree 100%… Appleton VX (signature blend) is a top end mixer (makes the best rum and coke in my opinion)

I’d certainly like to see someone review the Appleton Joy anniversary blend (25-35 year blend sounds great!) I have a bottle but have not opened it… yet.
