have you reviewed OGD BIB?
I agree; prefer Eagle Rare 10 too.
or blue & white- “we are…”
I can state one thing with great certainty about McKenna 10 year; bottles can vary! I had one bottle last year that had an extreme acetone nose! I left it on the shelf for a month, and it was beautiful after that.
got to try this. its easy to get in nashville.
I think we would agree that it’s a damn good value for a 10 year product.
If you happen to read the tags that come with your whiskey … you would learn that this was a commissioned Bourbon from the Bardstown Whiskey Society. Most people don’t pay attention to tags, but this will teach you to. After these barrels / bottles are gone … it will be gone forever.
Great review. Would you like the bottle design better if it was Scarlet and Grey!? OH- !
Yes, you hit the correct comparison to its closest cousin, Eagle Rare, but I’d take McKenna 10 year over ER any day of the week. Eagle Rare is too way too oak forward and to me vastly over rated. Mckenna 10 year is more balanced. You missed the ABUNDANT, gentle, marshmallow quality.
I do not like this.
Another great review and useful information. Please keep it up.
