Nice video man, I’m brazilian and I make cachaça in my farm in inland of São Paulo.
And I will tell you that this cachaça are one of worst cachaças in Brazil, 51, Ypióca, Pitu are industrial cachaças.
The best kind of cachaça is artisanal, the method of production is quite different, that taste so different, much better than 51, Ypióca….
If you find cachaça Germana or Seleta in some market, I recommend you buy and taste to feel the huge difference.
Guys, sorry, as a brazillian, I need to say: this is one of the worse cachaças produced in Brazil !!!! The most tradicional and pure cachaças are produced at Minas Gerais state, near to Salinas region. Try it and you will drink real hand made brazillian tradicional cachaça. Velho Barreiro, 51 and others, are drinked by “mendigos” and drunk people on streets of the big citys. You only can do Caipirinhas with those brands, but they are very acid and you will fell very bad at the day after.
So Nasty. I’ve been living here for 2 years, I stay away from this stuff.
yea, guy. This is one of traditional drink of Brazil.I am Brazilian and i can tell that.I Dont Drink any kind of alcohol but i know that people here drink that while playing cards here and people like it.The caipirinha is also very traditional, and i can to the tidwell brothers to taste chimarrão,a traditional beverage tea of the south of Brazil,a very calm tea, very relaxing for sure.
Take a look in this video to you know the difference of industrial and artisanal cachaça

I think its awful… but I don’t know how a rum should taste… so I can’t actually compare… I just make caipirinhas with vodka
when i was living in brazil, that stuff cost the same per liter as the alcohol i ran my car on.
i’m brazilian, and 51 is a wonderful spirit, the best to make caipirinha for sure!
