7/10.
I came into this gin with some preconceptions, it was talked up to me. 31 total botanicals, 22 of them being rather unique and interesting. Flavour ladder is a standard dry gin juniper, which leads into a citrus/lemon, and then a strong alcohol heat, and ends on various “woodland spices” notes. A good solid dry gin but nothing special in my opinion. The alcohol heat is almost too strong, and I’m no gin amateur. If the bottle was covered I could almost mistake this for a too hot Bombay or something similar. Not a bad gin by any means, but rather pricey considering. If the price range was substantially lower the score would be higher.
