Single Malt Scotch Whisky Review
Isle of Skye
Reportedly exclusively aged in ex-bourbon casks.
Very Maritume, brine, thick sea air, banana sweetness, vanilla sweetness, and tropical notes of mango too.
Initially sweet peat and lightly peated (20ppm phenols); Spicy caramel, salted butterscotch, sea water taffey, sweet pear juice.
Peppercorns, lingering ginger and smoke, with a wee sooty sweetness.
Water is a must with this single malt at the elevated ABV of 45.8%. I recommend one teaspoon to each 1.5 oz pour.
Very good whisky at a fair price. Highly recommended!
