Do you like this better than patron blanco? And have you tried the anejo and blanco versions of Avion?
saw some cool Mexican made recycled glasses on amazon the other day. Can I trust their made without lead or other bad things do you think? thanks
Thanks on this review I am going to buy this for my after work drink.
I haven’t tasted El Patron is many years. I really like Avión
this tequila is better than El patron?
Hope you like it!
Avión means Airplane, or in this case ‘very high’, as in the agave Los Altos high elevation growing region of Jalisco of about 2000 meters. In Spanish, it is correctly pronounced Aah-vee-on, as in At, Ant or Animal, not Ahh as in Agave, ava Maria or aqua, and not Ay as in Amy, Angel or aphid. I was pronouncing it as Aqua, with a soft A, which is incorrect. For my pallet, Avión is definitely better than Patron and even Herencia Mexicana. Smooth indeed. And, that’s the problem, if you know what I mean. I age it myself to produce a wonderful Extra Añejo, which is to die for, if you comprende. Your bottle is pre 2012 with the winged agave pina logo, mine is 2017 and does not have it. Salud!
