Clase Azul Tequila Review – National Tequila Day 2013!

For this year’s National Tequila Day (July, 24, 2013) I decided to review the Clase Azul Plata and Reposado tequilas. They’re the sweetest tequilas I’ve found and they’re an excellent choice to celebrate the day.
As of 7-24-13, my current bottle count stands at 1104 total bottles. I have 703 different ones in the bar & another 401 in back stock. I’ve now been actively collecting for the last 19 years and what started as a small basic bar has transformed (with the help & understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection. Thank you for watching and sharing in my hobby.

These are good tequilas got both of them because of your review. I’m in Texas too but not finding 4copas and I want to buy Rey Sol Tequila I’m curious what ur take is on Rey Sol?

eZiO71389 says:

Where did you find out that it’s aged in 3 barrels? I read in their site it just says American Oak barrels.

eZiO71389 says:

I’m so envious of you. I wish to one day have a collection that large!

LiquorHound says:

Yes they are but you might have to find them at the bigger retailers.

Brought some Clase Azul home with me after a Cozumel trip… the Reposado and loved every drop. Had to pry it from some hands that got all grabby, but man was it good. Just found it at Spec’s in Houston. Happy.

LiquorHound says:

Thank you for the kind words WyattAcoustic! Clase Azul is a uniquely wonderful tequila that I hope more people get a chance to experience.

Welsh Toro says:

I always love your reviews, thanks for sharing your experience. I just got bottle of the Reposado and I don’t regret it. What it lacks in complexity it compensates with sheer quaffability. I keep wanting another glass which is a little concerning considering its premium status. Oh well, I’ve got a lovely bottle to show for it. Cheers.

Well today is July 29th, is tequila day for me and every weekend is, SALUD COMPADRUES.

George says:

you should try “Tequila UTOPIA”, don’t know if they sell it in the US, im from mexico, and its by far the best tequila ive ever tried

Texas Cowboy says:

I wonder where I can find either one or both in Dallas, TX. Great review. Yee haw!!

Chris Styles says:

Have you had a chance to taste the Añejo? Not the ultra (black bottle) , but Añejo

Angel Christopher Alvarez says:

hey bro, liked ur review, will be following ur videos more. I was curious, does the taste of the tequila come out more in the drinking glass u used in the video? If so, what is it called? thanks.

Los Azulejos Anejo, is a great tequila you must try.

magus perde says:

This dude has an amazing ability to discriminantly smell, taste and identify…Ole’! I have both these bottles and they are, indeed, very special. Now, if I could only discuss this tequila with my guests like this guy!

franklin williams says:

Your review is on point. I had the privilege of sampling both of these awesome Tequilas in Cabo and yes they are truly the best I have ever had. If you haven’t already, give a review of what you would consider a Tequila that is better than Clase Azul.

DustySpuns92 says:

Where do you live LiquorHound?  I live right near Phoenix and I can’t find the blanco anywhere under 80 dollars.

e728cw says:

Just bought the the Clase Azul Resposada. It was great. I started off liken whisky but moved to tequilas. To me this was a great tequila for me. I just love the cream taste of it.

WyattAcoustic says:

Guillermo Guevara says:

Nice review! If you ever get the chance to taste the ultra, believe me, you would think you are in heaven. Bests!

MrNavi402 says:
