Me and my coworker at the bar were arguing about the pronunciation for curacoa last month lol, clarifying the pronunciation in this vid will help lots of people.
Loving this new video series btw
I agree with MarkusBiersack. These are the type of the details I love learning about when it comes to bartending. Thanks and love for you to continue this series!
Yaaaaaasssss!!!!! ☺️☺️☺️
Thanks for this one. A lot of bartending stuff on youtube is “just” flair bartending and really isn’t all that useful but I actually learned something. I’ve been subbed for a while but this is honestly one of the few videos I’ve clicked on.
Been bartending for 3 years but 99% of what I do is pouring standard drinks (rum coke, vodka soda, gin tonic)/beers or the house specialty drinks which I know how to make because they’re our house specialties. So learning random cocktails off youtube doesn’t really help much since I don’t work at a more “party bar”. I get jager bombs, lemon drops, birthday cake shots stuff like that often enough.
But I think there will always be that 1% of the time where I have to google/ask what the hell they are talking about because I don’t know what a purple dinosaur shooter is.
Cointreau is peng
I have heard that Orange Cointreau’s original name was called Curaçao Blanco Triple Sec”. It was originally made by the Cointreau brothers by blending sweet and bitter orange peels with alcohol from beets. Some people actually drink it straight as an apertif. I don’t know if I could do that or not, talk about a sweet tooth.
If you recall, I shared some criticism on the last video in which you talked about the very specific one whiskey. But with this one, I think it’s highly valueable to new bartenders. Some education on the main spirits used in bars, but not one specific brand, is really nice. Thank you for that, and please think about doing more of these. Maybe on cocktail bitters or all those different kinds of mixing liquids used in longdrinks.
