Mesquite is used to smoke beef in Texas too. In Bavaria, beechwood is sometimes used to smoke beer & whisky. This seems more like beechwood smoke, but maybe stronger.

STOP saying “whis-kay.” You do that every time you see the word spelled “whiskey” on a label. It is pronounced exactly the same way as “whisky.”
